WKC Group Announces 5 Years of Trading
Dr Ian James, WKC Group Director and co-founder, proudly announces today the fifth operational anniversary of WKC Group as it launches its new look website.
As WKC has grown, we have expanded our capabilities to become a leading independent provider of environmental consulting services. The continual, controlled growth we have seen over the last five years, all of which were profitable, stands as a testament to our employees and their talent. We constantly strive to remain at the forefront of industry progression to give our clients the outstanding and value for money service they have come to expect as showcased in our new look website launching today
During its five years in business, WKC has grown from its original start up in Abu Dhabi servicing the Middle East oil and gas markets to establishing a flourishing office in South Africa adding new opportunities across the continent in a range of sectors. Responding to the changing needs of the environmental consulting sector the company has steadily expanded its capabilities to offer a broad range of technically focused environmental services in the areas of air quality and climate change, noise and acoustics, EIA Consulting and hydrodynamic modelling for the purposes of regulatory approvals, project financing and corporate reporting.
The past five years has been an amazing time for everyone at WKC Group. We have had the pleasure of building a professional team of engineers, working with great clients and we’ve had the privilege of working on some really interesting, high profile and challenging projects around the World. Since we established the company in May 2009 we’ve grown and evolved through our team of experienced engineers and associates and we are delighted that, with their support, we have reached this milestone. With our flexible and accommodating approach to consultancy and our talented team members, with the continued support of our valued clients we look forward to many more successful years to come
One of the major successes within the WKC Group has been its Graduate Programme. The scheme involves an annual intake of newly qualified engineers offering them bespoke training covering all aspects of our diverse consultancy services and the opportunity to work on some of the major projects in the Middle East, Africa and emerging markets.
One of the early recruits to the programme Greg Ashcroft, Senior Consultant, adds, “Since joining WKC in 2011 I have been granted the opportunity to learn and utilise various environmental impact assessment techniques, from predictive computer modelling of air, noise and water impacts to conducting field surveys and more. Working within WKC has been interesting and enabled me to travel throughout the Middle East and Africa and further afield to Mongolia and South Korea. I have recently been promoted to Senior Consultant and look forward the new challenges this role with bring using the skills I have learnt with the collective experience of WKC”
